Transforming Working Conditions for Outsourced Services in Supply Chains

CAPACITY BUILDING

Description:
It is very common for a company or factory to outsource services such as security, cleaning, catering, accounting, and logistics. For a long time, it was not considered that companies had any responsibility for the well-being and working conditions of these providers’ workers. However, today it is a requirement: within a supply chain, each link is expected to take responsibility for the services it contracts. In other words, companies and factories are expected to ensure that their providers also comply with standards and regulations regarding working conditions and labor rights.

In this training, representatives from various factories in Mexico collectively reflect on the requirements and responsibilities they must have and fulfill with their own outsourced service providers. Through an interactive dynamic, participants engage in a valuable dialogue where they share doubts, experiences, and recommendations, while also gaining a better understanding of the requirements and procedures expected of companies.

“I got a lot out of this training; it really exceeded my expectations. I found it very dynamic and interactive, and I particularly liked the way the topics were grounded in the reality of companies and collaborating partners. I’m leaving with many and better ideas to implement”.
