Fair recruitment practices across borders

Guatemalan workers cross the border to Mexico without papers and in very harsh conditions. Employers in Mexico hire them temporally without knowing much of how they arrived, what recruitment costs they incurred and if they are paying loans to cover the costs of employment in Mexico.
With this workshop, employer’s organizations from Guatemala and Mexico realized the importance of fair recruitment practices and their key elements. Employer’s organizations came up with strategies to collaborate and support their affiliates with a concrete action plan and to help their affiliates understand the risks in hiring-processes across borders.
